Like more than 2,000 utilities across the country, we are powered by a community-owned, not-for-profit public power utility. During Public Power Week, we celebrate the benefits of living in a public power community.
Bring out the whole family to celebrate Public Power Week on Thursday, October 10 from 4-7pm. We’ll have games, candy (and other light snacks), swag, photo ops, and a chance to learn more about what it means to be a public power utility.
Through the annual Public Power Coloring Contest, we wish to engage students 1st-4th grade and the community in a way that will enhance interest and understanding of the role that efficient, safe, reliable, and affordable electricity plays in powering our community.
