Customer Service Temporarily Moving During Construction

Aug 27, 2025

Exciting updates are underway at Zeeland Board of Public Works. Our Customer Service Office is undergoing a remodel for the first time since the building opened in the mid-90s. This update will create a more welcoming and functional space for our team members and community. One of the highlights we’re especially looking forward to is a larger, redesigned meeting space to accommodate up to 50 people. During this construction period, our Customer Service team will be temporarily located at the Howard Miller Community Center (same building as the library). We expect to be in this space until the end of spring 2026. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make these improvements. We can’t wait to welcome you back into our refreshed space soon. Stay up to date with all things construction by following along on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where will the Customer Service Office be located during construction? We’ll be temporarily located at the Howard Miller Community Center (14 S. Church St. Zeeland, MI), in the same building as the Howard Miller Library. Note: Our office is on the lower level and can be accessed via elevator or stairway. Please follow the signage from either entrance to find us.

How long will you be in the temporary space? We expect construction to take about eight months. Our goal is to be back in the refreshed space somewhere around Memorial Day 2026.

Will your office hours be the same? Yes, our hours will remain the same during this transition. You can stop by our temporary office in the lower level of the Howard Miller Community Center (same as the library) or give our team a call at (616) 772-6212.

What should I do if I have an emergency while the office is closed? Please call our after-hours emergency line at (616) 772-2001.

Can I still pay my bill in person? Yes! Our Customer Service team will be available at the temporary location to help with payments, account questions, and more. If you need to make after-hours or quick payments, you can use the drop box located outside the back of City Hall (same parking lot).

Will my services be affected during construction? No, your electric and water services will continue as usual.
